Biographie |

Mona Fong, née à Shanghai en 1931, est la fille d’une vedette de night-club des années 30, Fang Wenxia. Arrivée à Hong Kong à la fin des années 40, elle chante des succès occidentaux dans les cabarets. C’est là qu’elle fait la connaissance de Run Run Shaw en 1952 (son futur époux). Elle le fréquente régulièrement et il lui propose, en 1969, de prendre la tête du Département Achats de la Shaw Brothers, avec les pleins pouvoirs. En 1981, elle rentre au Comité de Direction de la Shaw et en 1985, après la fin des activités cinématographiques de la compagnie, prend la tête de la T.V.B. et gère le patrimoine du studio ainsi que ses dernières filiales (dont la Cosmopolitan Film Productions Co.).
Elle épouse Run Run Shaw à Las Vegas en 1997 et devient Mona Shaw.
En 2000, elle a été classée parmi les dix femmes hongkongaises les plus riches.
Le 1er janvier 2009, elle devient General Manager de la a href="glossary.asp?id=114" class="lexiqueintext">T.V.B..
