Chin Yuet Sang (ou Chien Yueh Sheng en mandarin) est un vétéran du cinéma de Hong-Kong, acteur et chorégraphe, qui connut le succès aussi bien grâce à des films à gros budget qu’avec des petites productions.
Personnage inoubliable de par son visage (ses yeux et ses dents notamment), il est aussi doté d’excellentes capacités physiques. Chin débuta en 1969 avec The Golden Sword produit par le studio des frères Shaw. En 1972, Chin reçu son premier vrai rôle, un méchant japonais, face à Angela Mao dans Lady Whirlwind. Chin était partagé entre la Golden Harvest et la Shaw Brothers, ainsi que des productions indépendantes. On le voit par la suite dans des rôles de “bad guy”. Il collabora avec Sammo Hung sur plusieurs films (Warriors Two, Enter The Fat Dragon, Prodigal Son...). Mais Chin a aussi joué les rôles du héro, comme dans The Three Avengers et Kung Fu Vs Yoga, ou encore Thundering Mantis aux côtés de l’impressionnant Leung Kar Yan.
En 1981, Chin passa même à la mise en scène avec l’excellent Roar of the Lion. Il renouvellera cette expérience sur 3 autres films. Sa dernière apparition au cinéma date de 1998, dans Faces of Horror.
