Greedy and cowardly loser Tang Gai refuses to be looked down upon and agrees to join his village brothers in a major robbery. On the day of the crime, they encounter police officer Alex. In the crossfire Tang Gai is shot by his brothers and Alex is seriously injured as well. After emergency surgery, Tang Gai becomes a vegetable and Alex is paralyzed from the waist down.
