Chingamy Yau Suk-ching eut tout d'abord un contrat avec la T.V.B. après qu'elle ait participé à un concours de beauté en 1987. Mais Chingmay fut avant tout connue pour être devenue soit disant la maîtresse du célèbre grand manitou Wong Jing qui l'engagea l'année suivante dans The Crazy Companies. De ce fait, toute sa carrière fut calquée sur les productions de son mentor. Mais avant de le séduire, la belle a des arguments physiques (si vous voyez ce que je veux dire) que tout être normalement constitué ne peut pas réfuter. Ainsi, Chingamy aime bien abuser de ses charmes (pour notre plus grand plaisir !), et son amant est fier de nous la montrer. Certes, son jeu d'actrice n'est pas d'une grande finesse, mais ce n'est pas cela qu'on lui demande.
Pour en revenir à sa carrière, c'est surtout avec le culte Naked Killer que la pulpeuse actrice se fait véritablement remarquer au grand public. Cette tueuse (quasi) nue marquera à jamais l'esprit collectif et créa tous les fantasmes autour d'elle. En France, on peut la voir en super flingueuse dans le très contreversé God Of Gamblers' Return (L'Arnaqueur de Hong Kong), en jolie arnaqueuse dans le comic City Hunter (Niki Larson), en esclave de Jet Li dans Kung Fu Cult Master (Evil Cult). Ici on la connait aussi en tant que Cheung Li du jeu vidéo "Street Fighters" dans le cultissime Future Cops.
Mais Chingmay se retira du show business en montant un magasin de mode. Mariée en 1999 (pas avec Wong Jing, mais avec son partenaire dans les affaires !), elle a eu une petite fille en août 2001.
