	Plot
The great Sun Chung, lauded for his versatility and artistry, here directs one of his first martial arts epics (after having established his reputation in comedy and modern-day crime thrillers). He teams with real-life kung-fu champion Chen Kuan-tai and martial arts choreographer Liu Chia-yung (brother of the preeminent kung-fu film master Liu Chia-liang) to tell the tale of a bandit with a conscience who takes on the entire Wolfs' Head gang for the love of a good woman. 	Notes
1.	Although he appears in the opening credits of The Bloody Escape out of respect for his family, the scenes including Chen Wo Fu have been re-shoot by the Shaw Brothers because of his suicide at the end of the shooting. He has been replaced by Wang Ching.

2.	The name of Chang Cheh appeared on the first impressions of the poster of the movie.
