Patricia Cheng has been an active member of the Hong Kong entertainment industry since the early 1980s. She worked for a number of production studios (including Shaw Brothers' Studio) before becoming a freelance production manager in the late 1980s, working on such projects as PASSION, EAT A BOWL OF TEA, LAST BLOOD, and ZODIAC KILLERS.
Between 1995-9, Cheng was a producer at Golden Harvest Film Productions, responsible for a number of box-office hits including: DOWNTOWN TORPEDOES (1996), Jackie Chan's GORGEOUS (1999), and FLYING TO POLARIS (1999).
From 1999-2001, Cheng served as managing director and producer at Red On Red which produced such high-profile films as SUMMER HOLIDAY (1999), TOKYO RAIDERS (2000), GOODBYE MR COOL ( 2001), and PRINCESS D amongst others.
Cheng is responsible for overseeing all of Applause's distribution and marketing activities.
