Biography |

Roy has owned his own independent film, video and TV production/distribution companies. He has also managed numerous production projects within the film industry over a period of 22 years and has had experience in several filmmaking capacities including producer, production manager, director, screenwriter, post-production supervisor, marketeer, legal advisor, and international distributor.
Through his efforts at the Seasonal Film Corporation, and otherwise personally, he assisted many Hong Kong, and other, talents to enter the international market (e.g. Jacky Chan & Yuen Woo Ping - "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow" "Drunken Master", Tsui Hark - "The Butterfly Murders", Jean-Claude Van Damme - "No Retreat, No Surrender", etc.) Roy has also been involved in the design and development of distance learning programs and engaged in designing corporate training workshops as part of a Team A Learning, a local sales and management training company that became well known for its representation of Dr. Stephen Covey's system of self-management.
In September 1999, Roy joined the Multimedia Innovation Center. He oversees the department in the absence of the Gino, supervises the Traditional and New Media field as well as MIC's video production facilities. He designs courses and curriculums, lectures, carries on research in motion capture, audio/visual systems, and develops funding proposals.
He graduated with High Honors from the University of Rhode Island (1972) with a major in English and American Literature.
He's the father is actress, singer, model Celina Jade. He appears in yoga videos that can be found on YouTube.
He passed away in october 2021.
