Biography |

After studying Film Arts in Taiwan, Li returned to Hong Kong and became an assistant director in the TV station TVB. He was later promoted to writer-director and then producer. He briefly worked in Commercial Television, and then returned to TVB.
Li was invited to join Shaw Brothers in 1979, with The Ghost and I as his critically acclaimed directorial debut. His subsequent films included Avengers From Hell, Mahjong Heroes and The 82 Tenants.
Besides directing, Li had also tried his hands as production manager. He remains active behind both big and small screens.
