Biographie |

Né en 1928, avec une carrière s’étendant sur une grande partie des années 60 jusqu’aux années 90, Tien Feng a œuvré dans un grand nombre de films, jouant la plupart du temps le méchant de service. Pourtant, dans un genre de rôle souvent caricatural, il a su apporter une certaine profondeur rendant ses personnages souvent mémorabables et parfaitement humains. Il a ainsi laissé une emprunte marquante sur le cinéma de Hong Kong, notamment pour ses prestations dans certains des meilleurs wu xia pian tournés par les studios de l’époque (Temple Of The Red Lotus, The Twin Swords, One Armed Swordsman, The Assassin, Return Of The One-Armed Swordsman).
En outre, on le retrouve également dans le rôle titre de The Fate of Lee Khan réalisé en 1973 par le grand King Hu. Dès les années 70, il sera beaucoup utilisé dans les Kung Fu Pian, tournant même avec son ambassadeur le plus illustre, Bruce Lee (Fist Of Fury).
A partir de 1982, Tien Feng se fera plus discret, mais parviendra néanmoins à obtenir de petits rôles dans certaines productions d’envergure (A Better Tomorrow, Miracles : Mr Canton and Lady Rose, God of Gamblers III et Green Snake).
Tien Feng est décédé le 22 octobre 2015 au soir à l'âge de 87 ans.
