De son vrai nom Tsang Shun Chiu 曾順釗, Sze-Ma Wah Lung (Shut-Ma Wa Lung, See-Ma Wah Lung, Si-Ma Hua Long) naquit en 1921. Il devint comédien au début des années 1950.
Il était l'un des plus familiers seconds rôles du cinéma hongkongais.
Au début des années 1970, il intégra la chaîne RTV (aujourd'hui ATV) pour ne plus la quitter qu'à la fin des années 1990 - lors d'un plan social mené par des nouveaux actionnaires de la chaîne.
Pour le public HK, c'était le vieil homme gentil, doux, préposé aux rôles de papas, de papys, de patriarches un peu dépassés par les évènements, de vieux intellectuels, de nobles fonctionnaires, de voisins sympas, de braves inspecteurs de police, de victimes... Il était aussi capable d'auto-dérision en apparaissant dans des rôles loufoques dans des comédies.
Parmi les toutes dernières apparitions de Sze-Ma Wah Lung au cinéma, il y a eu "The Blade" de Tsui Hark, "The Mad Phoenix" de Clifton Ko, "My Left Eye Sees Ghosts" de Johnnie To & Wai Ka Fai.
Sze-Ma Wah Lung prit se retraite au début des années 2000.
Selon l'Association des comédiens de HK, il est mort d'une crise cardiaque. Il avait 91 ans.
