A top performer for China’s National Wushu Team Huang Qiu Yan was cast as the leading lady in the famed Mainland China martial art movies; Kids From Shaolin and Martial Arts of Shaolin starring Jet Li. Both movies superbly showcase Huang’s has a superbly skilled fiercely tempered martial maiden. Her career ended with her wedding to Jet Li in 1987, the couple had two daughters but they divorce around 1993 or 94. Huang is reportedly living in Taiwan nowadays.
