Biography |
 |
A member of China's national Wushu team Sun Jia Kui was cast in all of Mainland China Shaolin Temple trilogy starring Jet Li. In Shaolin Temple he was the fighting monk who specialised in the drunken pole. It's in Kids From Shaolin that he had his biggest role ever as a devious cross-eyed oddball villain who seeks to put the Shaolin and WuTang clans one against the other. It's a part that took full advantage of his queer facial features to play a villain that looks deceitfully goofy but is actually quite lethal as shown with his springly clashes against both lanky swordman Yu Cheng Hui and Jet Li himself. Sun had bit parts in both Martial Arts of Shaolin and Yellow River Fighter.
In later years he came back for a villainous turn in Tai Chi Master in another oddball type role of an albino eunuch tyrant. Nowadays Sun teaches Chinese Wushu. |
