Plot

Ka-ka and Sa-sa are a pair of sisters with different personalities. Ka-ka is a typical housewife who has been married to Yiu Po-po for 20 years and has a son. Sa-sa is a career woman with up-to-date ideas. She falls in love with Johnny, a marriedman, When Ka-ka discovers that her husband has an extra-marital affair, she is so sad that she leaves her home and moves to live in Sa-sa's home. But Yiu is a careless man who pays no attention to Ka-ka's departure. This makes Ka-ka disheartened. She decides to earn her own living by looking for a job. She finally becomes a brilliant teacher of cookery. On the other hand, Sa-sa is unable to bear her secret relationship with Johnny and breaks up with him. When she is depressed, she meets Ray, the schoolmate of Ka-ka's son Cho-cho. Ray tries to win Sa-sa's affections and the two of them become lovers despite the great difference in age. When Ka-ka knows this, she patiently persuades Sa-sa to give up this relationship which is unlikely to bear fruit. But Sa-sa refuses to listen to her advice. Yiu Po-po finally feels the importance of Ka-ka after she has left home for a long time. He thus asks for a rapprochement but is refused by Ka-ka. On the other hand, after spending some time with Ray, Sa-sa finally realizes that their relationship will have no result. She thus suggests a break-up and the two sisters face the future in a free and easy manner. (HKFA)
