Plot

Darling Stay At Home was the only modern film starring Betty Le Di since she joined MP&GI. She played a housewife who refused to let her talents abandoned at home and played a trick on her stubborn, old-fashioned husband (Zhang Yang). Her success not only changed her husband's mentality but also represented a strong declaration of women's capabilities at a time when many women were still made to stay at home. For many years Betty was honoured as the "Classic Beauty" for her countless portraits of classic beauties in the wangmeidiao genre. But in Darling Stay At Home, Betty demonstrated her remarkable acting skills through her successful portraits of a submissive housewife and a capable working lady, which extended her reputation to being far more than just a "Classic Beauty".
