	Plot
Love moves the mountains and the sea in this heartwarming musical of a singing shepherdess and her boatman beau. Julie Yeh Feng plays Hsiu Hsiu, blessed by beauty but cursed by her gambling addict of a father. Her heart is won by handsome and dashing Liu Ta-lung (Kwan Shan) but both lovers will have to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds before they can be together. Lo Chen, who carved his name at Shaw Brothers as a master of poignant dramas tries his hand in The Shepherd Girl with an all-new cast and an all-new feel. (IVL)
