Ice, who lives in Shanghai with her father, travels to Hong Kong with him on business. She decides she wants to find her Mother who left for Hong Kong when Ice was a baby, even though it is against her Father's wishes. Meanwhile a gang has planned to kidnap Ice. Ice sneaks out to search for her Mother before the kidnappers arrive, but due to evidence they leave, and her mysterious disappearance, her Father believes her to have been kidnapped anyway. She meets and befriends Wah, and asks to stay with him until she can find her Mother. This of course leads to many complications.
