Man-kit is poor, destitute and often unemployed. Even paying the rent is a problem. Fortunately, he has a group of neighbours who live in the same house and help him resolve his difficulties. He is also recommended by his neighbours to become a tea house waiter. One day, the van of the security company in which one of his neighbours works is robbed. The robbers appear in the tea house in which Man-kit works. Man-kit then informs his neigbour. They intend to catch the robbers, but the robbers manage to escape. They have even made the tea house into a mess and Man-kit becomes unemployed again. Miss Kam, another neighbour, works as a singer in a night-club. She recommends Man-kit to become the night-club's sundry worker. Man-kit meets the robbers again and is beaten fiercely by them. He is then fired by the night-club. Man-kit and his neighbour become home porters. Coincidentally, they meet the same gang of robbers again trying to rob a bank.
